First off, Happy (belated) Birthday to our nephew, Kyler. He is now officially a teenager as of yesterday. Hope you had a great birthday, Ky! Don't sleep too much ;)

And... Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there, especially my own dad and my hubby. Hope you are having a good restful day, and dad, we look forward to seeing you soon!

This is a picture of Charlie's Father's Day present. He was convinced he had to have it and I guess as long as I don't have to be out there in the blazing heat mowing I'm happy he has it.
He seems to be enjoying it, he mowed yesterday afternoon, then said he had to do some "finishing up" today (I think he just likes having a new toy ;) But hey, our ever-growing yard looks nice. And we are starting to see some signs of grass in our sand pits. So maybe someday soon we will actually have a whole yard.

We are looking forward to next week. On Friday, we are heading to Abilene for a wedding reception for one of our college friends. Then we are headed to my parents' for the weekend to spend some time with my family. Hopefully all my brothers and sisters will be there, so it should be a good time. Then we are taking the next week for a vacation. We decided to take the girls to Branson and let them check out Silver Dollar City and White Water. We tried to find something that would be fun for the girls and would keep them occupied. My goal is to stay cool (hence the water park) and not swell up like a whale. Not sure if that will happen, but it will be nice to just get away together.
